He stumbles in, pipe in hand, shirt half-untucked, looking entirely bewildered as to the change in his whereabouts. Bewilderment is quickly replaced by observation, as he sticks the pipe into his mouth and stands absolutely still, taking everything in. First Entrance [08 Jan 2010|08:46am] milliways_bar [thelifeplastic] Her nose buried in a script, Barbie walks into the bar without even realizing this is not where she intended to be. She hums Tchaikovsky's Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy as she continues, dodging past wait-rats and patrons, until she gets to Bar herself and says, "A tall coffee please." It isn't until she takes a distracted sip of the brew that she realizes something is different. This coffee is much more like what would be served on a photo shoot in Milan than the cafeteria coffee from a movie studio in Hollywood. She looks up and pauses, her jaw dropping open daintily, and does a slow pirouette to take in the room. Try as she might she can detect no hint of the room she expected. Either something is very wrong or someone has cast a really good Cinemagic glamor. "This isn't the cafeteria. The nearest speaker gets stared at for a while; her expression is something one might more usually expect if one were to cut into a hefty roast beef and find nothing but Cram inside. "That's so not right," she mutters, and gets Dogmeat his breakfast and herself a bottle of Nuka-Cola before sitting down to go over her list. ; Take a Swim?

He wonders what that line about mind control is referring to, and then wonders if he should ask around, just because. (Oh, for the days when there was a Bar newspaper and he could be nosy without needing to make excuses.) He goes to the bar to order breakfast. He was expecting cereal and coffee. He gets something very different.. He studies it for a moment, open the sandwich to study the bacon, and the banana slices, and finally the peanut butter. "Bar, I got news for you. I am not Elvis." Luckily, that remains the case, this not being Halloween or April Fools' Day. Knox nibbles at the bacon, re-orders his coffee, and wonders if it's going to be one of those weird Milliways kinds of days. [ooc: work related slowtime possible. Night [08 Jan 2010|01:37pm] milliways_bar [ostro_goth] Teja had taken Sunshine's hints, and gone to the library, found a many-volumed book that is regarded as the repository of all knowledge and wisdom, called an encyclopaedia. In it, he looked up 'Vlad Tepesh'. Then, following cross-references as Sunshine had said, he looked up 'Count Dracula'. Then, he started to copy the two articles out by hand, but after a bit, one of the other users laughed at him and pointed him to a little machine in a corner, called a photocopier. So, Teja leaves two photocopied articles for Melaka Fray, with a short note: My friend could not speak of her attacker, but she could tell me that knowledge of him may be found in books. I looked, and this is what I found. Stabbing his heart kills him, garlic and crosses repulse him, and he can but go to places he was asked to -- hence, most likely, was not invited to the bar itself and cannot come there. In one article, one section is highlighted. Now, Teja is about in the night, around the forge and upstairs between his room and the library, moving not far from where he usually would, not visibly patrolling, but very alert. Match Finland - Switzerland. Christmas 2010 international hockey tournament in Minsk, Belarus [08 Jan 2010|01:08pm] hockey [strenger] Yesterday, January 8, in the Minsk Palace of Sport hosted the final match for 3rd place international hockey tournament between teams from Finland and Switzerland. Won by a team from Finland (Suomi), which won 3rd place and bronze. Played Russia and Belarus. First place went to a team of Belarus headed by the President.
